Dr Sarah Catford

Dr Sarah Catford graduated from the Australian National University in 2007 and undertook her physician training at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne. She completed specialty training in endocrinology at Alfred Health, Western Health, and Monash Health and became a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2016.
After a two-year andrology fellowship at the Hudson Institute of Medical Research and Monash Health, she completed a PhD in male infertility in 2021, which involved an NHMRC-funded study on the health of ICSI-conceived young men.
She is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Hudson Institute of Medical Research and a research associate at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute where she continues her research interests in male infertility. She is an expert advisor for Healthy Male and holds an academic position at Monash University. She is a staff specialist at the Alfred Hospital where she works in diabetes and general endocrinology, as well as at Monash Health working in transgender medicine. She works in reproductive services at the Royal Women’s Hospital as an andrologist reviewing men with infertility.
In her private practice, she currently consults on male fertility and testosterone issues. While outside of her work, Sarah enjoys the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.

Dr Sarah Catford offers in-person and Telehealth consultations regarding male fertility and disorders of testosterone. At this stage, she is not accepting referrals for diabetes or other endocrine conditions. She is based in Traralgon and consults in East Melbourne once a month.
